I’ve tried your above steps but as many others facing the same, I can’t get past the USB Loader flashing process as it just fills up with weird Russian text as soon as I press Load.After searching for a while, one of the XDA member told it’s because of the latest software version “21.329.63.00.284”. The above method doesn’t to work with that version entirely. Could you please find any solution for this? And I’ve also tried AT^GODLOAD but didn’t work either.Like. That is a good tip. I now tried ussd by setting it to 3g only mode and it worked.
But if i set it to auto mode, and ussd code is dialed, then hotspot attempts to access 2g network first and so ussd fails. May be that is depending on our area 2g/3g network strength. And so now, I need to switch between 3g and 4g mode manually to dial ussd codes. But as your hotspot is also unable to access 2g network, i think this may be a common problem occurring after unlocking. Most of the people may not notice it because 2g network is not needed for internet.
Anyway, thanks for the tip. Please let me know if you got any fix for this “2g no service” issue.Like. Just downloaded that firmware and updated to it successfully.
My device information now shows Software version: 21.318.03.00.00. But still the same problem exists. Its unable to register in 2g network.
In this firmware, I tried airtel, idea and BSNL sim cards. All of these networks have good 2g coverage in my area and works good in my smartphone. But hotspot is unable to register 2g in any of these sim cards. When I try to search network manually it shows all the avilable networks. And when I select the 2g home network, it shows registering for a few minutes and then shows “failed”. What could be the problem?
Do you have any other firmwares to try?Like. I have successfully unlocked my airtel huawei E5573Cs-609 modem using your method. Now everything works fine except 2g network. When I choose 2g only mode, it shows no service. I tried searching network manually, and its showing complete network list in my area. But its unable to register to any network in my area. I tried airtel, idea, bsnl, docomo and vodafone sims.
But none of them work in 2g mode. But all sims works fine in 3g or 4g mode.
I do not want 2g network for internet. But I want ussd function.
When I enter ussd codes, the network goes to 2g mode automatically and the red light keeps blinking. As its unable to register networks in 2g mode, ussd code fails. And at that time, I need to select 3g or 4g manually to get the network back. I see, some other people also mentioned the same issue with 2g network. This issue happened after unlocking it.
2G network was working fine before unlocking. I have tried both idea and airtel web ui, but both have the same issue. Could you please check it yourself in your device with airtel or idea ui? Also after dialing a ussd code, the hotspot gets stuck into 2g mode for about five minutes (still auto is enabled in settings) and red light turns on. I need to set it to lte only or 3g only to get the network back. I tried in huawei, airtel and idea ui, but the same issue exists in all UIs. I tried reflashing firmware also. But nothing works. The hotspot is unable to register 2g networks.
